We use the Windows standby mode for changing the battery. This means that it is not necessary to close the applications in use. The standby status lasts about 10 seconds and does not affect your work.

The battery life for the colibri X7 is up to six hours, depending on the application.
The colibri X7 has a standard USB/VGA port, an Ethernet/network port and a serial port. Two serial ports are also available.
IP stands for International Protection and indicates the degree of protection for an electronic device. There are different degrees of protection indicated by the two numbers. Yes, we still use the ODU plug connector, which offers outstanding protection against moisture even in the rain. It is fully compatible with older cables.
The batteries can be charged in the colibri itself or in the charging tray. A car power supply is also available as an option for the colibri and the charging tray.
The colibri X7 is RoHS-compliant and fully complies with the regulations.
The beta versions of Microsoft Windows Vista are available to us. According to initial impressions Vista runs on the colibri X7 without problems. When Vista becomes generally available, we recommend ordering the colibri X7 with 1 GB RAM to ensure that your system will perform adequately.
